Dorothea-Viehmann-Park

Short facts

  • Kassel

The park was named after the famous storyteller Dorothea Viehmann.

Dorothea Viehmann was held in high esteem by the Brothers Grimm as the most important and reliable contributor of fairy tales. She told Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm many fairy tales and fairy tale variations and herself lived very close to the park named after her.
In the park there are many works of art and sculptures with fairy tale references, such as mosaic benches with Grimm fairy tale motifs.
There is also a small playground in the park. In autumn, you can nibble on the fruit on the fruit trees and bushes.

Dogs are allowed on a leash.
