The monastery trail in Falkenhagen is approx. 4.7 km long and the ideal circular route to get to know Falkenhagen from its most beautiful side. The trail was inaugurated in 2015 and has since become a popular hiking trail to discover and marvel at Falkenhagen Monastery. The trail runs along some of the former monastery ponds and leads you to a refuge with a large landscape lounger where you can take a short break and enjoy the beautiful view. A fascinating landscape reveals itself to you along the way and this hiking trail is sure to delight hikers of body and soul!

This is a quality C hiking trail.
Safety Guidelines
The trail leads you along busy country roads in places and you even have to cross country roads in two places: Pollerstraße and Detmolder Straße. Be careful on your hike and watch out for traffic on both sides!
Tip
Be sure to take a look inside the monastery and marvel at the beautiful architecture!
Parking
There is a parking lot right next to Falkenhagen Monastery, which is an ideal starting point for the hike.
Public transit
Arrival by train:
The district of Falkenhagen is not served by any rail connection. However, the S5 Hanover (airport) - Paderborn (main station) train line runs to Lügde station once an hour. From there, you can take bus line 761 to Falkenhagen.
Travel by bus:
You can take bus line 761 from Lügde (city center) directly to Falkenhagen at regular times (bus stop: Falkenhagen). From the bus stop, you can reach the monastery on foot in approx. 4 minutes.
