Walk in Queen Friederike's footsteps - or follow in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm.
The historic promenade path leads past wonderful views and relaxing resting places. These places are dedicated to the members of the Guelph dynasty. Legendary views of the Steinhuder Meer, ponds, fountains, the Wolfsschlucht gorge and the Friedrichspavillon are all along the route. There are explanations of the historical places and lines of sight as they were once laid out by the Guelph House. The approximately 4-kilometer circular route starts at the end of Friedrich-Stolberg-Allee. The Promenade Trail is signposted, as is the Brothers Grimm Fairytale Trail, which runs along the same route.
Rehburg-Loccum is located on the German Fairytale Route. The Brothers Grimm once traveled between Hanau, Kassel, Loccum and Bremen and collected fairy tales and legends to write them down. In 1812 and 1815, the collection "Children's and Household Tales" by the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm was created.
On the Brothers Grimm Fairy Tale Trail in Bad Rehburg, visitors encounter various fairy tales and legends, depicted with wooden fairy tale figures. They include the Pied Piper of Hamelin, Puss in Boots, The Little Table and the Frog King. There are also fairy tales from Rehburg-Loccum, such as the fairy tale of the Rehburg fountain and The chicken that wanted to go to Loccum. www.bruedergrimmmaerchenweg.de
The paths have inclines and are only suitable for baby carriages to a limited extent.
The tour can also be found at Komoot.
