The tour is fabulously diverse, taking you through fields and meadows, tranquil beech forests, and an idyllic valley with a stream. The highlight of the tour is the Christeröder Waterfall: in a wild and romantic setting, the Buchenbach stream cascades approximately 11 meters down the edge of a former basalt quarry into a small pond.
In the nature reserve "Buchenbachtal," the landscape alternates between forests and open, sometimes steep meadows. Here, sheep graze among old orchard trees, and the Geritzbach stream murmurs through a beautiful meadow valley. Benches invite you to take a seat and gaze into the distance, perhaps towards the Vogelsberg. If you follow the trail counterclockwise, you will eventually be accompanied by the babbling Buchenbach stream, leading you to the waterfall.
