Rhododendron-Park

Short facts

  • Verden (Aller)

In 1962, a 4.3-hectare park was created here with exotic trees and a rainwater retention basin built as a pond;

The people of Verden donated plants to create a green lung in the middle of the city. In addition to rhododendrons, there are azaleas, magnolias, ginkgos, sequoias and hollies. Signs and plaques provide information about the name of each tree. There is a playground for children with a ropeway, seesaw and slide.
