Münchausen Fountain

Short facts

  • Bodenwerder

One fountain - three stories The Münchhausen fountain is located in downtown Bodenwerder.

The large Münchhausen fountain in the pedestrian zone was made in 1994 by the sculptor Bonifatius Stirnberg from Aachen.

This fountain shows three of the most famous Münchhausen stories: the horse at the church tower, the duck flight and the ride on the cannonball. The special thing about this fountain system is that the moving figures can be changed by the viewer at any time.
