Every Saturday from May to September, you have the opportunity to join a public guided tour through the historic town centre. Our knowledgeable city guides are particularly keen to tell you the history of the town, which is over 1000 years old, in an entertaining way, peppered with numerous anecdotes.

Experience the old half-timbered houses from the Weser Renaissance period and the medieval churches. Stroll through the small alleyways, feel the historic cobblestones under your feet and discover the magnificent aristocratic courtyards and proud town houses from the 16th and 17th centuries. But you will also be delighted by the lively shopping streets and the vibrant life in the shopping centre with its many street cafés.
