Joint exhibition "Dignity": A cooperation project of the Mündener KunstNetz e.V. and the House of Nations Hann. Münden
In 2024, the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany celebrates its 75th anniversary. To mark this important event, the Mündener KunstNetz e.V. invites you to the joint exhibition "Dignity" in September. This exhibition is being organised in collaboration with the House of Nations in Hann. Münden and highlights the central theme that characterises the first article of our constitution: "Human dignity is inviolable. To respect and protect it is the duty of all state authority." (Art. 1, Basic Law).
The joint exhibition shows a broad spectrum of creative works that illuminate the topic of "dignity" from different perspectives. Members of KunstNetz e.V. present powerful paintings, profound texts and figurative works, all of which reflect the diversity and depth of the topic in their own way. What is particularly remarkable is the way in which the artists interpret the theme individually and sensitively, while always emphasising the common human core of dignity.
Immanuel Kant once put it in a nutshell: "In the realm of ends, everything has either a price or a dignity." He thus emphasised that every person has an inalienable intrinsic value, regardless of their social status, wealth or circumstances. This conviction forms the foundation of the artistic explorations in the exhibition.
The exhibition is not only an artistic highlight, but also an opportunity for reflection and exchange. Mündener KunstNetz e.V. cordially invites all interested parties to be inspired by the diverse forms of expression and to reflect together on the importance of dignity in our society. At a time when the value of the individual is constantly being called into question, this exhibition sends out a strong signal in favour of humanity and respect.
