Exhibition "Essentials" - Who are we, what drives us, what touches us, what brings us forward?
Life is colourful and diverse and art reflects its facets. Both artists have had experiences in their lives that have left their mark on their work. However, as Bettina Weyrich and Felizitas Dörr-Backes are two different people and each has and expresses her own view of things, so many pictures come together, but their core is similar. Both are passionate painters who have been working in different techniques for many years. And they found each other in Hann. Münden through the KunstNetz.
"Essentials" describes what has proven to be substantially important to both of them over the years. They bring this to the canvas using different colours and techniques. The creative process itself is also essential, as it combines energies on very different levels that flow into the works and are transferred to the viewer. Of course, this process cannot always be controlled or planned; it develops independently and in an often unpredictable way. And the more you allow yourself to get "lost" in creativity, the deeper you penetrate to the core, the essence, the essence. At some point, the pictures themselves determine how they want to become and what story they want to tell. With the help of the colours, the artistic hand brings to the canvas what wants to break through. This is where the energy of the heart unfolds between the artists and their visitors with the help of the pictures
In our sometimes confusing, often restless and occasionally overheated times, encouraging people to pause for a moment is what both artists see as one of the essential tasks of art because it can give rise to new perspectives and impulses that promote personal development.
With their exhibition, both women consciously want to set an example and invite visitors to be inspired and touched and, ideally, to have a positive experience that will carry them forward.
In this sense, both are looking forward to many curious and interested visitors as well as stimulating conversations.
