The GRIMM WORLD Kassel transports the Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales into the modern era.
The Children's and Household Tales are among the most important exhibits, that have been part of the world's document heritage since 2005. In addition to the well-known fairy tales, the exciting story about the creation and further development of the largest dictionary of the German language is shown.
In addition to the exciting permanent exhibition, thematic special exhibitions regularly invite you to visit the GRIMM WORLD.

The Grimmwelt is located in the city center of Kassel.
By car:
Visitors to the GRIMM WORLD get a discount for the use of the underground car park Friedrichsplatz. Follow the signs to "Kassel Zentrum" or "Innenstadtring", then to the underground car park Friedrichsplatz. (destination for navigation device: Tiefgarage Friedrichsplatz). Then follow the signposted route on foot:
City centre route: barrier-free, (approx. 11 min.),
Panorama route: not suitable for the disabled (about 12 min.)
By bike:
Follow the Kassel cycle route network to the city center or town hall, then follow the signs to "Weinberg" (target: GRIMMWELT).
By local public transport:
With RegioTram or tram to Rathaus (town hall) or Rathaus / Fünffensterstraße, then follow the signs on foot (about 7 min.).
By train:
From Kassel Wilhelmshöhe station:
With the tram lines 1, 3 or 4 in the direction of the city center, stop: "Rathaus", there follow the signposted footpath (approx. 7 min.)
From Kassel main station:
With RegioTram 1, 4 or 5, stop: "Rathaus / Fünffensterstraße" , follow the signposted footpath (approx. 7 minutes).
Wirh a coach:
There is a coach stop at the Brüder-Grimm-Platz (destination for a navigation device), then follow the signs to GRIMMWELT on foot (about 4 min.). Coaches are not allowed to park at the GRIMMWELT exhibition centre.
Parking facilities for coaches exist at the Natural History Museum / Ottoneum on the Papinplatz (enter in navigation device), about 15 mins. on foot from the GRIMM WORLD.
