In both town districts, Wahlsburg possesses works of art of nationwide importance.
These include the monastery church of St. Georg and Maria, a masterpiece of Romanesque church architecture in the Weser region, and the parish church with Romanesque and Gothic mural paintings in the town district of Vernawahlshausen.
It is well worth strolling through Lippoldsberg along the well-marked historical walking tour.

The Wahlsburg municipality is a member of the German Fairy Tale Route and its fairytale figure is 'The Brave Little Tailor'.
A trip with the "Fairytale Ferry" is always a special experience.
We also recommend a visit to the monastery church of St. Georg and Maria, the small, unique 'Museum in the Shepherd House' as well as the live museum of the hydroelectric power station at Lippoldsberg.
