Benedictine monastery from the 8th century with Early Carolingian crypt, one of the oldest architectural monuments in Germany, Romanesque Katharinen Chapel (around 1100),
Andreas Chapel (Late Romanesque around 1200), Hutten Chapel and burial vault of Hutten (around 1354).
Ramholz Castle, Ramholz Castle Park, Steckelberg Castle ruin.
Built 1893 to 1895 by Hugo Freiherr von Stumm, Ramholz Castle is situated approx. 6 km outside of Schlüchtern. It includes an 80 ha landscape park whose design is based on ideas by Prince von Pücker-Muskau for an English landscape garden. There is a trail leading from the park to Steckelberg Castle ruin, the birthplace of Ulrich von Hutten.

Wooden Tools Museum and Siebold Museum at Brandenstein Castle.
Located in the Elm District, at approx. 4 km from Schlüchtern, the Brandenstein Castle Exhibit includes numerous wooden tools that were once frequently used in everyday life.
The Siebold Museum houses a comprehensive collection of documents and objects from Japan concerning the Japan researcher and medical doctor Philipp Franz von Siebold, who continues to be greatly appreciated in Japan.
Both museums are privately owned by the Brandenstein-Zeppelin family.
