Castle ruin of the Counts of Everstein from the 12th century with a marvellous panorama on Weser Valley, Solling Mountains and the Lippe Region; protestant church St. Georg and archway of the castle ruin in the Weser Renaissance style, historic town centre with numerous half-timbered houses (the oldest dating from 1575); largest reaction ferry on the Upper Weser River, solely driven by the current.

Polle Castle, home of Cinderella and the Count of Everstein.

Every 3rd Sunday from May till September: "Cinderella play" at Polle Castle at 2.15 pm
June till August: castle festival on three stages (fairy tales, comedy, classics and modern theatre in rotation), one stage with roofed stand.
April till October: art exhibition at "Haus des Gastes".
