Nienburg/Weser
Fantastic things:
1000-year-old historic town centre. Town hall in the Weser Renaissance style, St. Martin Church (15th century), Posthof (postal station), Stockturm prison tower (the only remaining part of a former moated castle), the Quaet-Faslem house (residential house from 1821 in neo-classical style); farming burghers' houses, the Young Nienburg Girl (bronze statue near the Posthof).
Enchanting places:
Former liege-men houses like Fresenhof and Hakenhof that are shrouded in legend. Nienburg Museum.
