Hameln and its idyllic neighbourhoods are surrounded by some of the best-wooded mountain ranges of the lovely Weserbergland region. Among the favourite excursion destinations are the Klütturm and Bismarckturm towers, popular not only among hikers.
During the months of February and March, the spring snowflake flowering season on Schweineberg Mountain offers an unusual natural spectacle.
In June, the rhododendron flowering season at Ohrberg Park is also worth seeing.

The Glaserlebniswelt [Glass Adventure World] of the Glassworks Hameln was created in the historic Pulverturm [(Gun)powder Tower]. In the lobby, you get information on the 6,000-year-old history of glass as work material. Here you are at the heart of the Glass Adventure World - the glassworks and glass engraving shop where you can watch the glassblowers at work every day.

The Münster is the oldest church in Hameln. Services have been held here for over 1,000 years. Our Münster is open every day from 9am to 6pm. Guided tours through the cathedral and climbs up the steeple are available by appointment with the sexton, phone +49 (0)5151/21-123.
The 'Hüttenstollen' exhibition mine was started up in 1842. This show mine offers a glimpse into the difficult conditions of mining and quarrying pit coal at that time.
From 1 March to 31 October on Sundays from 1pm to 4.30pm, you will find a knowledgeable tunnel guide there, no prior arrangements required. For special guided tours, call +49 (0)5153/964-846 (phone & fax).
The Freizeitpark Rastiland, an amusement park, has been in business for over 25 years. It is located in the beautiful Weser-Leine-Bergland region, nestling between Osterwald and Ith, on the national highway (Bundesstrasse) route 1, HI-Hameln, between Mehle and Benstorf. Exit Quanthof. Open daily April through 3 October.
