Fantastic things:

Bremen, the pulsating heart of northwest Germany and home to the world-famous Bremen Town Musicians, is constantly in motion. It is a cosmopolitan city with multiple faces - history, heritage, science, high technology, the space industry - add a bit of alchemy to form a spectacular big picture.
A certain openness to the world and 1200 years of tradition have made this Hanseatic city on the Weser unique. Distinctive iconic landmarks are the magnificent Rathaus with its stunning Weser Renaissance architecture and the graceful Roland statue; Since 2004 both have been designated UNESCO World Heritage sites. Bremen
Some locals endearingly call their town hall a "treasure chest". The same goes for the Roland statue that stands at the heart of the city in the historical marketplace. Roland is Bremen's Statue of Liberty and this one is the most representative of all Roland statues as a symbol representing freedom and commercial trading rights.
But the rest of the Hanseatic city also has nothing to hide: Bremen has so many wonderful aspects. There is the picturesque Schoor, the city's oldest living quarter, the exceptional architectural heritage of the Böttcherstraße, the Bremen Cathedral and, last but not least, the adventures of Universum Bremen and the maritime promenade Schlachte that invites one to stroll along the Weser.
Bremen's museum and theatre worlds present ever-changing exhibitions in the Kunsthalle Bremen and the Overseas Museum while other city museums offer special attractions in the Hanseatic city. Take the Theaterschiff, musical theatres, transvestite theatre and other classical or unique stage productions which round out the cultural spectrum for cherished evenings of entertainment.

Whether you seek history, innovation, something nautical or lively, you'll find it in Bremen.

Enchanting plaBremences:

Who doesn't know the world-famous Bremen Town Musicians from the Grimm Brothers' fairy tale? The best-known landmark is the bronze sculpture that stands on the west side of the town hall since Gerhard Marcks created it in 1953.
But this is not the only place you'll encounter them, the famous four who set out to try their luck in this Hanseatic city. The Town Musicians reappear often throughout Bremen in many representations: in the guild's courtyard in the Böttcherstrasse, where they adorn the fountain, or in the oldest quarters of Schnoor. Whoever wants to meet them personally has come to the right place. Here in the Hanseatic city the town musicians tell their own story - live, large as life, open air und free. From May to September every Sunday at 12 noon in the Cathedral courtyard, city centre.
