Steinau a.d. Straße - Steinau Palace
Steinau Palace has been the secondary residence of Earls von Hanau. It has been newly reerected in the 16th / 17th century by enlarging the middle age castle on a pentagonal outline. The impressively well preserved renaissance complex is a mixture between middle age castle, renaissance palace and fortress. Both palace kitchen and parlour are used for presentations. They are completed by the brothers-grimm-memorial with numerous family heirloom and mementos as well as the theatre collection of the puppet theatre of Steinau.
