Hanau - Philippsruhe Palace
The baroque palace Philippsruhe was built after the role model of the summer residence Clagny near Paris at the commencement of the 18th century. In striking distance to the river Main, the palace is surrounded by a beautiful palace garden with orangery, belvedere, sculpture park and amphitheatre. Since 1964 the historical museum of Hanau is located in the Corps de Logis of Philipsruhe Palace and is the regional museum for the history of Hanau, cultural history and art history. The paper theatre museum is a special museum in the historical museum of Hanau with individual charm.
