With its exposed location in the middle of the charming scenery of the Weser Hills, the castle complex of the porcelainmanufactory Fürstenberg, is an ideal destination for your visit to the countryside. The castle's museum, the manufactory store and the visitor's work shop promise an exciting journey through the centuries into the world of porcelain. Care for a refreshment break? Visit Schlosscafé & Restaurant Lottine, where you can enjoy food and drink together with a spectacular view over the River Weser. Directly below the castle, pleasure boats wait for their passengers. North Germany's only porcelain museum is right here, at the restored Weser Renaissance castle, which is under historical preservation protection. On an area of more than 12,900 sq. ft exhibits from three centuries of porcelain art are on display. This collection of more than 10,000 unique pieces whets your appetite for the culture of table and living; at the same time, it is an exhilarating journey through more than 260 years of cultural history. In this permanent exhibition and supplemented by varying special exhibitions, the museum imparts to the visitor the diversity of the "White Gold".
