Biographical milestones of the Brothers Grimm

Brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were born in Hanau in 1785 and 1786 and grew up in the nearby town of Steinau. They attended Gymnasium in Kassel and moved to Marburg to study law in 1802/1803. After completion of their studies, they returned to Kassel to work as librarians. From 1830 to 1837, they were professors at the University of Göttingen and they spent the last years of their lives in Berlin.
